The DB9 GT is Aston Martin’s most sophisticated representation of a sports grand tourer.
With its enduring styling, luxurious comfort and naturally aspirated V12 engine, the DB9 GT quickens the pulse, whether you are on the outside looking in or behind its wheel.
You can access the DB9 GT using remote control, a function that also releases the boot and operates central door locking. Once inside, a full-grain leather interior provides room for four passengers.Fluted leather sports seats are electrically-adjustable and feature memory functions, and headrests are embroidered with the letters ‘GT’. The Piano Black facia trim features an iridium trim pack while an Alcantara-clad steering wheel provides a firm grip. The car features a heated rear windscreen and heated door mirrors, which are both power-operated.
The body is built from bonded aluminium and magnesium alloy, making the car both light and sturdy. Aluminium also forms the basis of anti-intrusion bars that span the length of the doors, offering extra protection from potential side impacts. Catching the eye are splitter, diffuser and brake callipers, all in black. The latter are incorporated within 20-inch ten-spoke Silver Diamond Turned alloy wheels, which themselves are encased within Pirelli P Zero tyres.Single bi-xenon headlamps incorporate LED side lights and directional indicators, while at the rear the DB9 GT features clear LED tail lights trimmed with a black border. A sports exhaust finishes the look, emitting the unmistakeable Aston Martin growl.
A 6.0-litre V12 engine with six-speed automatic transmission delivers 540bhp and 620Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.The DB9 GT races from 0-60mph in under 4.7 seconds, capable of a maximum speed of 183mph.
Limited-slip differential ensures that each wheel turns evenly, regardless of the inconsistencies of road surfaces.Choose from three different drive modes (Normal, Sport and Track) to get the best from a range of on-road conditions – and to suit your own preferences. The DB9 GT also comes with a 78-litre fuel tank capacity.
An Ami II infotainment system features satellite navigation and an Aston Martin Premium audio system with Dolby Pro Logic II. This comes with DAB radio and has integrated Apple iPod connectivity.
A 3.5-milimetre jack is fitted, as is a USB port, which is compatible with WAF, WMA and MP3 audio files. Bluetooth connectivity enables audio streaming and hands-free telephone communication.
Parking-assist uses a rear camera to help you manoeuvre in and out of tight spaces. Dynamic Stability Control optimises the traction of all four wheels during, for example, acceleration.
An Anti-lock Braking System prevents wheels from locking while Electronic Brakeforce Distribution promotes even braking.Emergency Brake Assist automatically multiplies the effectiveness of brakes whenever the pedal is quickly depressed.
