Aston Martin have revealed a stellar line-up which will surely thrill crowds at this year’s illustrious Goodwood Festival of Speed in June.
The Festival of Speed is the biggest hill climb event in the world in which car royalty comes together in celebration of motoring and motorsport.
As usual, this year’s event will feature the very best sports cars that the British luxury brand has to offer. Here’s a breakdown of the Aston Martin cars that visitors will be treated to this year:
Following its global launch at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, the incredible Aston Martin DB11 will finally make its worldwide dynamic debut at Goodwood 2016.
As one of the most significant new Aston Martins since the DB9 in 2003, visitors will be eager to see and hear the DB11 with its 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine in all of its powerful glory.
Behind the wheel of the DB11 at Goodwood will be none other than Aston Martin President and CEO, Dr Andy Palmer. About the event, he said: “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the best events of the summer season and Lord March’s beautiful estate has become a place of pilgrimage for car enthusiasts.“Being the first person to drive the new DB11 up the famous hill climb at Goodwood is a great honour on behalf of all our employees.”
Returning to the Festival of Speed, since its world debut at last year’s event, is the Aston Martin Vulcan. The 820bhp, all-carbon fibre, track-only supercar typifies the brand’s flair for design and engineering to deliver a truly exhilarating performance.
As it powers up to the top of Goodwood’s famous hill climb, it is expected the Vulcan will wow audiences for a second year in a row with speeds of over 100mph – thanks in no small part to its spectacular 7.0-litre V12 engine.
Featuring in the Supercar Shootout up the Goodwood hill will be the race-bred Aston Martin Vantage GT8. The Vantage GT8 is no stranger to the track and therefore expectations are high. With a super-sharp chassis tuned for track-focused agility, powered by a revised 446PS version of Aston Martin’s rousing 4.7-litre V8 engine, the Vantage GT8 has unmistakable style, a no-nonsense stance and a driving experience that’s second to none.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is a real fan favourite and is a road car that has sports performance at its very core. The Vantage S comprises a 7-speed manual transmission and epitomises Aston Martin’s commitment to building exceptional sports cars.Visitors will be in for a treat when it demonstrates its remarkable acceleration and agility at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month which has taken place every summer since 1993.
