Aston Martin has revealed the second generation of its Vanquish S model. The new car comes with sharper styling, greater potency and an even more athletic design.
The Vanquish S range originated from the brand’s legendary works in Newport Pagnell in 2001 and has become a modern motoring icon.
In the new evolution, Aston Martin has paid special attention to the engine, chassis and aerodynamics to truly hone the machine. They say it will deliver “more intense thrills and even more scintillating performance”.
The new Vanquish S is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine that has been improved with a revised intake system. The new inlets allow more air into the engine at high revs, boosting power delivery. The refined engine now produces up to 600 PS, up from 573 PS in the previous model.
Aston Martin has also calibrated the eight-speed Touchtronic III transmission to deliver faster gearshifts and a better sense of precision. And the suspension has been finely tuned to make it feel sportier without compromising ride quality.
Aston Martin has described its new Vanquish S as its most overtly sporting GT production model yet. It has a more aerodynamic design with exposed carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser elements that reduce frontal lift.
The quad exhaust outlets at the back create a more aggressive appearance. And the sporty style can be developed further with optional carbon fibre bonnet louvres, new five-spoke diamond-tuned wheels and a wide selection of painted graphics packs. Aston Martin has even developed a new Vanquish S badge to crown the tailgate.
Drivers can also choose from a range of personalisation option inside the new Vanquish S. This includes the ‘Filograph’ quilted leather upholstery and ‘Bridge of Weir Caithness’ leather.
The new generation Aston Martin Vanquish S is available in both Coupe and Volante. Prices start from £199,950 and deliveries will begin in December 2016.
