The Audi quattro Cup celebrates 25 years

The world’s largest amateur golf tournament series, the Audi quattro Cup, brings together 53 countries, 800 tournaments, 100,000 amateur competitors and concludes with 1 world champion. This prestigious event has been a success year after year since its establishment in 1991, sparking a passion for the game of golf combined with fascination for Audi vehicles.

Audi has been writing a success story and promoting golf for over two decades through the Audi quattro Cup. An ever-growing number of golfers experience the sport in more and more countries as the tournament extends its reach – last year saw Brazil join and this year, Sri Lanka.

Centre and Regional Finals are now complete, taking place at some of the finest golf courses in competitors’ respective countries. National Finals are being held this month, with many still to take place around the world; the UK Final was held at Bowood Gold and Country Club in Wiltshire at the beginning of September.

The two highest-scoring pairs from each nation go on to represent their countries in the prestigious 5-day World Final, held at the Ocean Course of Cabo del Sol Golf Club in Los Cabos, Mexico from 29th November – 3rd December. The format of play is ‘greensomes’. You must have it all to play at the highest level – and the Audi quattro Cup World Final is sure to return this year with more action, intensity and challenges.

Audi will be rolling out the red carpet for the competitors as it swings into the quarter of a century with golf sport. The world’s best amateur players who qualify for the World Final will embark on the trip of a lifetime: one practice round and two exciting tournament days on the acclaimed golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, a golf clinic with Hank Haney, former Tiger Woods coach and Geoff Swain, World Trick Shot Champion. All participants will be looked after and pampered as they stay at the renowned Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. Baja California Sur, known as the cactus garden of Mexico, boasts to be one the finest and most exclusive holiday destinations in the North American country.
