WRT Audi triumphs at Dubai 24 Hours GT endurance race

Success at the 2016 Dubai 24 Hours for Audi has meant starting the season in style, with Laurens Vanthoor, Stuart Leonard, Michael Meadows and Alain Ferté combining skills to take victory in the Audi R8 LMS on 16^th January.

In the tenth year of the Dubai 24 Hours, it was Belgian Audi Club Team WRT that took the title at the Dubai Autodrome, completing 588 laps of the circuit, with a fastest lap time of 1:58.712.

The team had a tough challenge ahead after losing three minutes in the second hour when queuing for fuel, putting them a lap behind the race leaders, but they managed to steer to pole position and claimed victory by five laps, bringing Audi its first ever overall win at the race.
