2016 Audi Q2 Spotted

Previously confirmed as the Q1, but now christened the Audi Q2, Audi’s up and coming 2016 compact has been spotted and looks as striking, sleek and muscular as the rest of the Q model range.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Head of Audi Technical Development, has announced that the Q2 will be revealed to the world in March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, expected to go on sale by the end of next year.

The low roofline and distinct Audi styling cues are visible through the camouflage, presenting the Q2 as a Coupé-like crossover model, with an aggressive appearance forged by use of angular headlights.

The sexy new car is thought to be based on the flexible MQB platform created by the Volkswagen Group and will most likely offer three and four-cylinder engines in its powertrain options, with the choice of both diesel and petrol.

We will have to wait and see if model variations are to emerge, such as a hybrid incarnation for those more eco-minded or a sporty SQ2 to appeal to Audi performance enthusiasts. Explore the existing Q range at your local Jardine Motors Audi dealership.
