Audi RS3 Saloon

Keep an eye out for the 2017 Audi RS 3 Saloon

It has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring. And the rumour mill is churning. It’s the 2017 Audi RS 3 Saloon – and it might be coming soon.

Though not expected to be as popular as the RS 3 Sportback, the long-awaited RS 3 Saloon is expected to be a success across the continent, and will definitely be an eye-catcher on UK roads.

Thanks to sneak peeks on the track, it’s anticipated that the RS 3 Saloon will feature the same dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox as the Sportback, paired with its 362bhp, 2.5-litre, five-cylinder engine and running gear. Imagine the S3 Saloon with RS 3 bumpers, wider front wheel arches and a large-bore twin-pipe exhaust system, and that’s what we’re hoping Audi will release next year.

The RS 3 Sportback can climb from 0 – 62mph in a blistering 4.3 seconds, so with 15kg of extra weight, expect the Saloon to add a tenth of a second to that. Audi’s quattro® permanent all-wheel drive will enhance its performance too, with a dynamic, characterful drive and sharp handling.

Expected to arrive as early as spring 2017, the eagerly-anticipated RS 3 Saloon is causing a stir. Keep an eye out for further information, including confirmation from Audi that this powerful, sophisticated Saloon is on its way.

The S3 Saloon is available at Jardine Motors Audi right now. Why not take it for a test drive to get a taste of what the RS 3 Saloon might offer? If you can’t wait that long for the added Audi power, explore the existing RS range.
