The alpine skiing star, Marcel Hirscher, was in the spotlight in his native country for the season opener, and will be looking to defend his title this season. Amongst the women, there will be a new winner, with Anna Fenninger ending the season early.
The stars on show at the opening World Cup challenge experienced new Audi innovation in the form of a redesigned Audi start house. Audi models and the Audi driving experience are to be integrated into many of the World Cup venues, so we can expect to see much more from the brand for the new racing year.
One of Audi’s top athletes, the RS 3 Sportback, joined the
alpine skiers for a photo shoot during the traditional Audi Media Talk,
presented as the most powerful compact-class car in the premium segment.
Athletes representing a variety of nations answered journalists’ questions
during the event.
Audi backs the athletes away from the race weekends as well,
with many ski racers making use of the Audi wind tunnel centre in Ingolstadt to
optimise materials and body posture. With sporty Audi models and training
opportunities, the Bavarian brand supports the alpine skiers to the slopes and
beyond.
If you are interested in the Audi RS 3, contact your local Jardine Motors Audi to arrange a test drive – you could be driving like the skiing stars before the Audi FIS Ski World Cup is over.
