The Audi quattro Cup 2016
The world’s largest amateur golf tournament, the Audi quattro Cup, began in Germany in 1991 with 51 tournaments. It now spans 54 countries and over 800 tournaments – more than 100,000 competitors entered in this 26th year, but there can only be one champion.
Jardine Motors Audi’s ninth year in the event took place at the Edgbaston Golf Club on Tuesday 7th June and proved to be a huge success, with 80 customers from 11 Centres taking part.
An 8.30am breakfast started the day off well, followed by customer registration and a 10am shot gun start. The sun shone down on the beautiful grounds of Edgbaston, and refreshments kept the golfers going until they arrived back at the clubhouse from 3pm.
A fantastic day’s golf, with some tough competition from valued customers, saw the following top ten winners of the day go through to the Regional Final: Charles Strudwick, Peter Bean, Marcus Ward, Dr David Greenwell, John Gallagher, Andrew West, Ian Furslong, Steven Duff, Carl Grey and Michael Oates.
A three-course sit-down meal concluded the successful day, which was enjoyed by all – customer feedback from the event has been fantastic, including this testimonial from Gary Carlile:
We were fortunate enough to be invited by Amersham Audi and cannot thank you enough for your excellent organisation but would also ask that you extend our thanks to the golf club.
The course was excellent, as was the food. However our lasting memory will be the way we were received and treated by every staff member we met. The club and hopefully Audi should be very proud of themselves and the portrayal of their respective products.
A great day, thank you all.
From all at Jardine Motors Audi, we wish the best of luck to our qualifiers in the Regional Final in July – and hopefully on to the UK Final in September and the World Final in October, a five-day event that is being held in Barcelona.
