Audi TT RS

The new TT RS unveiled

Audi has launched the new Audi TT RS in both Coupé and Roadster forms at the Beijing Motor Show – and these latest, most powerful incarnations don’t disappoint.

Going on sale at Jardine Motors Audi Centres this autumn, the TT RS is fitted with a 394bhp inline five-cylinder turbocharged engine, as found in the RS 3, boasting a rich, resounding roar. With 59bhp more than the previous generation TT RS, plus 354 lb-ft of torque available from 1700 – 5850rpm, it’s a force to be reckoned with.

Find supercar-like acceleration, with the Coupé reaching 62mph in 3.7 seconds from a standing start, and the Roadster sprinting to the same speed in 3.9 seconds, all the way up to a 155mph top speed – although this can be increased to 174mph on request.

Find supreme handling, thanks to quattro permanent all-wheel drive, which comes as standard on the TT RS, as well as a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission. For an enhanced ride, RS sport suspension is available, in addition to adaptive magnetic dampers, plus the 19-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 20-inch for an even more athletic look; carbon ceramic discs are also available.

With the Audi drive select system, choose your desired drivetrain characteristics, including the transmission, engine and exhaust flaps – Individual mode allows you to specify your own preferred settings.

The TT RS doesn’t just drive differently, it also looks different – large air inlets now flank the central grille, with Audi RS silver elements accentuating the front splitter and door mirrors. LED headlights come as standard, with Matrix LEDs available as an option – rear lights can be upgraded too, with the introduction of Matrix OLEDs.

Audi has transformed the cabin of the TT RS with the brand’s virtual cockpit as standard, plus an RS sport leather steering wheel with S tronic shift paddles, engine on and off buttons, Audi drive select settings and other useful functions.

The TT RS is a playground in itself – what will happen when it’s unleashed onto the roads? Available to order this autumn, register your interest with Jardine Motors Audi to stay in the loop. The only question is, will you choose the Coupé or Roadster?
