The 2017 Honda Civic will finally be revealed at next month’s 2016 Paris Motor Show along with an all-new Honda Jazz Spotlight Edition model.
Both models are being released as part of the next phase of Honda’s European product offensive.
Here’s what we know so far about the new Civic and Jazz Spotlight:
A prototype for the new Honda Civic Hatchback was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, which gave the public a glimpse of the exterior design that could be expected for the final product.
Now just over 6 months later, the finished version of the 2017 Honda Civic will make its global motor show debut at Paris which will be one of the highlights at this year’s show . We can expect to see the finalised exterior and interior design of the production-ready model which will hit European showrooms early in 2017.
The Civic is Honda’s best-selling model worldwide and this tenth generation version is the result of the most vigorous development and research programme ever seen in their history.
Speaking about the all-new Civic, Philip Crossman managing director at Honda UK, said: "The unveil of the 10th generation Civic at this year's Paris Motor Show continues the journey we started last year with the complete overhaul of our entire range.
"Couple that with the fact the introduction of the new Civic heralds a new era for the plant in Swindon, as it will become the global manufacturing hub for the British-built Civic hatchback, and we are in a fantastic position going forward."
In addition to the hotly anticipated Civic hatchback, Honda’s stand will also feature the four door saloon version model of Civic which will be revealed with an improved exterior and interior design. The saloon variant is expected to hit mainland European markets from early 2017, excluding the UK for the time being.
Another big debut from Honda at the 2016 Paris Motor Show will take the form of the Jazz Spotlight Edition – an evolution of the Jazz Keenlight concept which was also revealed at Geneva in March.
The Spotlight Edition comprises a set of new design features which Honda hope will appeal to a more fashion conscious customer. Bronze is a key feature of the design enhancements which include bronze front grille decoration, door mirror decoration, decals along the flank of the car, unique 15” alloy wheels, tailgate decoration, steering wheel and centre console treatment.
