Kevin Stride, Vehicle Line Director for Jaguar XE, XF and F-PACE, commented on the vehicles’ achievements, saying: ‘The XE and XF were engineered without compromise: we placed just as much focus on safety as we did dynamics, performance, refinement and efficiency, and out stringent in-house standards far exceed the requirements of legislative and consumer tests. Everything from the aluminium alloys we developed for the body structures to the state-of-the-art stereo camera at the heart of the Autonomous Emergency Braking system has been painstakingly optimised to deliver world-class levels of safety.’

With the XE and XF, benefit from outstanding crash protection, a range of active safety systems and advanced driver assistance systems. Light, stiff, strong body architecture ensures optimal occupant protection, plus numerous airbags protect the driver and passengers. Deployable bonnets on the models help to prevent serious pedestrian injuries in the case of an impact.

Both models feature Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, Emergency Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

Additionally, find Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor and Adaptive Speed Limiter on the XF, which will also be offered on the 2017 Model Year XE.
