The globe’s largest international adaptive sporting event, the 2016 Invictus Games, will be held in Orlando, Florida. It will be officially partnered by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and take place between May 8th and 12th, when 500 military athletes from 15 nations will take part in 10 sports including wheelchair rugby, swimming, archery and cycling.
JLR was the proud presenting partner of the first Invictus Games in London in 2014, providing the games with not only financial backing, but helping former military servicemen and women back into careers outside of the military by providing work placements and rehabilitation programmes for injured persons. JLR is continuing its support by once again partnering with the Invictus Games in 2016 and maintaining its commitment to veterans.
Joe Eberhardt, President & CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America said, ‘Jaguar Land Rover is immensely proud to be the Presenting Partner of the 2016 Invictus Games here in the United States. We strongly believe that there is a close alignment between our company’s values and the passionate, unstoppable, determination of armed forces veterans. Our goal, in partnership with the Invictus Organization, is to continue to inspire and encourage injured and wounded military personnel.’
