The Electronic Stability Programme provides excellent handling and responsiveness of the Lamborghini Huracán allowing the driver to retain control, while high quality carbon-ceramic brake discs ensure stopping distances are minimal.
In the event of an impact, the carbon fibre frame provides excellent torsional stiffness and six airbags located in the front, knee and head-thorax areas provide additional safety within the cabin.
Distinctively Lamborghini, the Huracán stays true to the traditional wedge-shaped silhouette and sharp bodylines that has become custom to the brand, but distinguishes itself with concave rear quarter glass, subtle surface bends, and a full LED lighting system. The carbon fibre coupe has an emphasised width, with added flares to the wheel arches, defined lines from the shoulder to the flanks, and large cooling ducts.
Once inside the new Lamborghini, the fine Italian craftsmanship is evident with fully upholstered Nappa leather and Alcantara throughout. Elegance is matched with sporting panache in the form of a jet-fighter-style start button, flat-bottom steering wheel and a sloped centre stack.
The “580-2" in the Huracán's designation is reference to the horsepower behind this supercar in addition to the fact that this derivative offers rear wheel drive compared with its all wheel drive big brother the LP 610-4. By pairing the 5.2-litre V10 engine and the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the coupe delivers 60mph in just 3.4 seconds and 124mph in 10.1 seconds. A full carbon fibre hybrid chassis provides optimum aerodynamics for maximum speed and handling, with a top speed of 199mph. Three driving modes: Strada, Sport and Corsa, will provide different performances from the transmission, electronic-stability control system, engine and four-wheel drive system. Internally, a 12.3-inch full-colour TFT dashboard displays your rev counter, navigation maps and infotainment functions, while all control functions are located on the steering wheel. Standard sports seats include full-electric control for adjustable height, tilting and heating options.
