The LP 610-4 Huracán Spyder would not be a Lamborghini if it did not offer a blistering turn of pace; it can, however, stop almost as quickly as it accelerates.Carbon-ceramic brake discs at the front and rear are controlled via a dual-hydraulic brake system with a vacuum brake booster, whilst the Pirelli PZero tyres help to enhance the car’s extraordinary grip and traction.All-wheel drive and a sophisticated Electronic Stability Programme also helps the driver to retain control in any conditions, without intruding on the dynamic thrill of manoeuvring in the Spyder. Rigid bodywork and six airbags protect the driver and passenger in the event of a collision.

The LP 610-4 Huracán Spyder offers the finest open-top thrills you could imagine. The designers, however, have done a lot more than simply replace the coupé’s roof with a retractable soft-top.

A steeper roofline at the rear of the Spyder gives it an even more pleasing silhouette - as well as improving airflow to counteract the extra weight of the roof mechanism.Inside, the cabin is swathed in Nappa leather and Alcantara, guaranteeing exquisite comfort during the most drastic manoeuvres.

The electronically-operated screen behind the seats, meanwhile, reduce buffeting when travelling at high speeds; alternatively, it can be lowered to let in the sonorous noise of the engine.

Its dry weight of 1542kg means that the LP 610-4 Huracán Spyder is slightly heavier than its coupé counterpart.

Nevertheless, its aerodynamic frame – along with the ferocious 602bhp of the V10 engine – enables it to achieve 0-62mph acceleration in 3.4 seconds (just 0.2. seconds longer than the coupé) and a theoretical top speed of 202mph.A seven-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission delivers smooth, progressive acceleration at any speed, while a choice of three driving modes (Strada, Sport and Corsa) configures throttle response to suit your preferences. A 12.3” TFT colour touchscreen provides you with a vast array of navigation, communication and entertainment functions. The soft-top roof, meanwhile, opens and closes in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 31mph, instantly enclosing you in a sealed and well-insulated interior when the weather is less than perfect.
