Orders Being Taken For Lamborghini Urus SUV

Despite no confirmed release date, Lamborghini are now officially taking orders for their hotly anticipated luxury SUV – the Lamborghini Urus.

It’s been four years since fans received their first glimpse of the concept version of the Lamborghini Urus, dubbed a “super athlete”, at the Beijing Motor Show in 2012. But last year the Urus was finally given the green light to go into production with an expected 3000 units to be made each year following its release.

Although the actual release date is still unknown, Lamborghini have now officially opened their order books and potential buyers are urged to queue early in order to avoid missing out.

Here’s what we know so far about the new Lamborghini Urus Luxury SUV:

Lamborghini Urus Performance and Design

Last year Lamborghini confirmed that the Urus will be fitted with a 4-litre V8 twin-turbo engine which is capable of generating an impressive output of around 600 hp.

Additionally, Lamborghini’s excellent reputation for lightweight design technology will guarantee the Urus SUV will have breathtaking dynamics along with an interior kitted out with innovative carbon fiber technology.

The Urus is likely to be a class leader in fuel efficiency too with lower CO2 emissions than all of its high-performance luxury SUV rivals.

Whilst expectations will be high that the Urus will embody the supercar elements so synonymous with Lamborghini, it’s important to note that the Urus will also be incredibly practical. As an SUV Lamborghini, the Urus will be a four seater and include a versatile luggage compartment. And with permanent all-wheel drive, the prospect of taking a Lamborghini off-road is sure to excite enthusiasts who will want to experience the fun and no-limits driving experience of the Urus.

Production

In order to accommodate this substantial increase in production capacity, Lamborghini have recently expanded their Sant’Agata Bolognese facility which will herald additional growth and significant opportunities across the marque.

Over the lifecycle of the new Lamborghini, the company is expected to invest hundreds of millions of Euros.

The Urus is Lamborghini’s first SUV since the LM002 which was in production from 1986 – 1993. If you want to beat the rush, we suggest you place your order early.
