A world-first luxury SUV convertible was unveiled by Land Rover at the LA Motor Show in November. This new concept takes the immensely popular Range Rover Evoque and adds a folding soft-top fabric roof, so buyers can venture off-road and get even closer to nature.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will arrive in Lancaster showrooms in spring 2016 in perfect time to embrace the British summer. The styling retains the well-loved muscular bulk and sharp lines of the original Evoque, making it an unmistakeable member of the Range Rover family.
The Land Rover engineers have strengthened the anti-roll bars, and the all-independent suspension has been tweaked to cope with the extra weight added by the mechanical roof. The handling dynamics cope well with the loss of the roof thanks to good structural rigidity.
This model also features electric power steering and Land Rover has used the interior as a showcase for all of the brand’s new technology. The InControl Touch Pro system is accessed via a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and offers various apps that enable seamless integration with your smartphone.
