Lexus has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the famous golfing event, the Australian PGA Championship.

The luxury automakers will provide exclusive sponsorship to the 2016 edition from 1st to 4th December, played at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Gold Coast. Lexus signage will adorn the venue, and the marque will put its name to a hospitality marquee on the 16th hole.

VIP transport will also be provided by Lexus for players and sponsors, and there will be a brand new Lexus available to be won by any player who achieves a hole-in-one on the final day of the tournament. The exact model hasn’t yet been specified, though you can take a look at the range of beautiful Lexus models here at Lancaster, and guess what it will be.

Brian Thorburn, PGA of Australia Chief Executive, said: ‘The PGA is proud to partner with such a reputable and premium brand like Lexus. Support of this nature is fundamental to the ongoing success of our tournament and we are thrilled that the Australian PGA Championship presented as the perfect fit for Lexus to join the PGA family.’

Chief Executive of Lexus Australia, Peter McGregor, also said: ‘This partnership provides excellent opportunities in an appropriate and fitting environment, from the prominent placement of branding to our provision of luxury vehicles to transfer players and sponsor representatives.’

Lexus is only adding to their golfing success, and are also partners of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and the US Open, US Women’s Open and US Senior’s Open until 2020. It will be exciting to see how Lexus continue to make their mark on the greens in coming years.
