Meet the new Superb 2.0 TSI 280PS 4x4 DSG – it’s the fastest and most powerful standard production ŠKODA ever made. It can go from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds!
This incredible speed is faster than classic supercars from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, including the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera and the 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB. These cars were the quickest of their day, representing pure fantasy for car lovers and petrolheads all over the world.
But now a standard family car can leave these motoring icons languishing in its wake. And unlike those classic supercars, the new Superb 2.0 TSI 290PS 4x4 DSG doesn’t come with a six-figure price tag.
ŠKODA have created a short ‘top trumps’ film to highlight the new Superb’s remarkable performance, and prove beyond a doubt that it’s the quicker car in a straight fight. It pitches the Superb estate against a collection of supercars that includes the Honda NSX and Lotus Esprit.
ŠKODA’s new Superb is available in hatchback and estate forms. And it’s the most powerful production ŠKODA ever built, with an output of 280PS from its turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
The Superb 280 is also the biggest and most spacious ŠKODA ever built with a huge 660-litre boot. And it comes with a DSG transmission and four-wheel drive as standard. This means its supercar-rivalling performance is deployed in complete comfort.
The new Superb 2.0 TSI 280PS 4x4 DSG is priced from £31,445 for the hatchback variant and £32,745 for the estate. It is available with a range of trim levels, including SE L Executive, new SportLine and Laurin & Klement – explore all Superb variants here.
Its standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Columbus satellite navigation system, an electrically operated boot, leather upholstery and heated seats.
