The Toyota Auris range comprises brilliant family cars, so we decided it was time to take the models on a proper family holiday to the seaside. We took a Toyota Auris to Southwold, and a Toyota Auris Touring Sports to Aldeburgh to showcase their abundance of family-friendly features.

Known for both reliability and affordability, the Toyota Auris is the ideal choice for those who want a car that is as efficient as it is stylish. The spacious interior makes long journeys a breeze, especially with the excellent tech included as standard and a range of choice between five trim levels. Everything needed for the trip fits comfortably in the boot, from the buckets and spades to the cool-box, tent and folding chairs.

Navigating the narrow streets was a breeze in the nimble Auris, and it looked perfectly at ease with a backdrop of colourful beach houses to set off the stylish curves and paintwork. The hybrid technology meant that moving around the sleeping town early in the morning was done in near silence, with only the sound of seagulls to disturb the early morning calm.

Moving on to Aldeburgh, the Auris Touring Sports offered a much larger boot space that could have comfortably fit the luggage for both trips. The sportier feel in this model also provides an athletic edge for the ultimate family car. The Auris is available brand new fromLancaster Toyota.

Driving through the Aldeburgh town centre, the cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses evoked perfectly the atmosphere of a true English seaside town, particularly with the bunting from the annual Aldeburgh Carnival fluttering in the breeze. A visit to the old Martello Tower provided some wonderfully picturesque views of golden fields and patches of purple heather across the countryside, the perfect backdrop for some action shots of the car before heading home.
