Safety

The Volkswagen Beetle is constructed to the highest specifications for safety.

A combined head and side airbag system is fitted at the front of the cabin, and each seat is equipped with a secure three-point seatbelt and cushioning head restraint.

By fully galvanising the vehicle’s laser-welded shell and integrating crumple zones with the front and rear bumpers, Volkswagen has ensured the protective rigidity of the Beetle in real collision situations.

Design

The inimitable shell of the Beetle is sculpted with highly rounded curves and prominent wheel arches, the latter housing steel or alloy wheel rims offered in a selection of diameters. Integrated door mirror indicators and chrome accents help the model’s vibrant personality shine through.

A flat-bottomed sports steering wheel is the central focus of the driver’s position, flanked by colour co-ordinated door rails and dashboard panels. The “Titan Black” cloth upholstery that lines each ergonomic seat and the primary controls has a luxurious, soft feel, can be optionally upgraded to indulgent leather, and is complemented in style by any of the optional trim finishes.

Technology

Five confident engines deliver the vehicle’s unwavering power, including the base 1.2-litre petrol engine with 104bhp and a seamless six-speed manual transmission.

The Beetle confidently reaches 129mph without compromising on fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions levels.

Volkswagen’s cutting-edge technologies, including the RCD 310 CD/digital radio system, Midline multifunction trip computer, speed-sensitive power-assisted steering, and an exterior temperature gauge, are all standard features on the Beetle’s equipment list.
