Styling Changes and New R-Line Trim for Volkswagen Beetle Range

Volkswagen have unveiled an updated Volkswagen Beetle which comes with notable styling changes and an all-new sportier R-Line trim.

The changes that have been made to one of Volkswagen’s most loved models include a more sculptured body and a fresh interior design to further enrich the appeal and value so synonymous with the Beetle range.

The front bumpers have sharpened lines, while larger openings around the indicators and fog light surrounds make up the styling changes of the exterior. The new Beetle R-Line trim has a unique sportier bumper design and comprises extra air intake openings along the upper edge of the bumper.

The new Volkswagen Beetle has also received an updated interior design for 2017. Its distinctive cabin will now possess brighter instrument panel lighting and new dials and dash styling for the Design and R-Line models. Additionally, new upholstery materials bring further styling options available to customers.

The new Beetle R-Line replaces the previous Sport trim level in the Beetle range and will be available with Volkswagen’s powerful 2.0-litre TDI 150 PS diesel engine and a choice of either six-speed manual or six-speed DSG transmission.

In addition to the unique R-Line bumper, the new Beetle R-Line possesses sports suspension and 18-inch ‘Twister’ alloy wheels. And for no extra cost, the new R-Line model is available to purchase with a new 18-inch ‘Ashmie Adamantium’ alloy wheel design.

The sporty design of the Beetle R-Line continues with its body-coloured rear diffuser, chrome twin exhausts, gloss black door mirrors and door protectors and a rear tailgate spoiler. And in terms of new technology, 2Zone climate control, ambient lighting, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control come as standard with the Beetle R-Line model.

The R-Line’s sporty cabin is further complemented by its ‘Sports’ instrument dials, aluminium trimmed pedals, and scuff plates featuring the distinctive R-Line logo.

The styling enhancements and new options are available for the coupé and cabriolet models with the new Beetle Dune crossover model also benefitting from the changes.
