Aston Martin Cambridge and Sevenoaks would like to introduce the apprentice technician career programme. The programme is designed to give technicians a structured and industry leading career programme over 6 years with the opportunity at the end of the apprenticeship to own a Snap-On tool kit worth £10,000*. Furthermore, you'll be working on some of the most desirable sports cars in the world with leading technicians in their respective fields.
Annual salary increases to £12,000 per annum, however, if the apprentice is over 21 years of age their salary will rise to £16,000 per annum. Also receives a full Snap-On tool kit in a cabinet (where applicable) with a retail value of £10,000, however, the company will retain ownership title of these tools as detailed in the clause below. The tool kit will be supported by a £500 salary top up to cover the annual tax implication of this taxable benefit.
Annual salary increases to £16,000 per annum and apprentice starts to receive bonus at 50% of the rate of a technician. Will still receive the £500 salary top up to cover tax on tools.
Annual salary increases to £20,000 per annum and the bonus rate now increases to 75% of that of a technician. Will still receive the £500 salary top up to cover tax on tools. Apprentice now starts their first improver year .
Will receive a £2-4K performance related salary increase and the bonus rate now changes to the full rate on the prevailing technician scheme. Will still receive the £500 salary top up to cover tax on tools.
Will receive a £2-4K performance related salary increase and will still be entitled to bonus as per the prevailing full technicians bonus scheme. Will still receive the £500 salary top up to cover tax on tools.
Will receive a £2-4K performance related salary increase and will be entitled to earn bonus in line with the prevailing technician bonus scheme. Title of Snap-On tool kit will transfer into technicians name and the £500 salary top up, to cover tax on tools, will cease.
After successful completion of the Apprenticeship/Improver programme the minimum wage of the now technician will be £26,000 per annum and the maximum will be £32,000 per annum. The now technician will slot into the appropriate level on the technician career path/grading structure.
*After successful completion of their first year of employment the apprentice will receive a Snap-On tool kit with a retail value of £10,000 to use and care for as their own throughout their Apprenticeship/Improver programme. The legal ownership title of this tool kit will remain with the company until the employee successfully completes their 6 year Apprenticeship/Improver programme, at which time upon their 6 th anniversary of employment with the company the legal ownership title of the toolkit will transfer to the employee.
