Serving as an upcoming replacement for the currently-available DB9, the Aston Martin DB11 is in production and development, and a prototype has been witnessed. The prototype featured camouflage, but presents enough detail to give motorists some details as to what they can expect from the DB11.
It is currently expected that the vehicle will retain the title of DB11. The name has been trademarked by Aston Martin, and commercial production will follow the DB10 - the exclusive one-off vehicle to be used in the 2015 James Bond movie 'Spectre'.
New design features for the DB11 include a lower ground stance, and shorter overhangs on each end of the vehicle. It shares design details with the DB10, bringing these design cues to the UK car market. It is stated that this new vehicle will be the first of a new cluster of vehicles that Aston Martin plans to produce in the near future.
The DB11 is projected to go on sale during 2016. It will represent the first vehicle to be built using Aston Martin's new platform, and a new batch of engines are planned for release to accompany this.
