Already one of the most exclusive car brands in the world, Aston Martin has made its latest offering super-elite, by offering just 200 highly customised models of the Lagonda Taraf.
Displayed at the prestigious 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance show, the new model takes on a historic name from the 1970s and 80s, with the four-door sedan car featuring the shape of a sport grand tourer. The latest version of the Lagonda is made with carbon fibre body panels that enhance performance along with a hood bulge.
The look is exclusive to the Lagonda name, with the headlamps integrated into the front grille, creating a sense of seduction and assertiveness. Under the long bonnet the 200 lucky buyers will find a 6.0-litre V12 engine that offers in excess of 530bhp. The eight-speed transaxle is connected to the engine via a carbon fibre prop-shaft with alloy torque tube, helping to better distribute the weight of the powertrain.
Labelled a ‘super saloon’ it is capable of more than 195mph and getting from 0-60mph will take just 4.4 seconds. Owners who have drivers can make use of the rear seat infotainment system, which includes Wi-Fi and two iPad Minis for streaming on the go.
Most of the models are being delivered to the Middle East, with around 30 already built. Buyers can tailor the interior and exterior colours as well as materials while the dashboard includes precious metals.
