Vantage GTE - FIA WEC Season 2018/19
With the testing programme fully underway for the new Vantage GTE race-car, the new season isn’t far away. In just 11 weeks’ time, the 2018/2019 WEC Super Season Round 1 kicks off at Spa-Francorchamps.
2018 sees the introduction of the WEC Super Season, named not for the many, varied, high-level entries which will be competing but for the fact that the season will stretch over 14 months. The summer-to-summer schedule will begin in Belgium with the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on May 5 2018. The season will incorporate two 24 Hour races at Le Mans and a return to Spa-Francorchamps in 2019, as well as a 12-hours race at the famous Sebring circuit in the USA.
2018-19 calendar features prestigious and historic circuits around the world including, for the first time since 2012, a 12-hours race at the famous Sebring International Raceway in Florida. The series will also include six-hour events at Silverstone, Fuji and Shanghai.
