Introduction

Strictly limited to 99 models, the newest edition to the Aston Martin Zagato family is the first-ever production-built Shooting Brake. Born from car design’s most enduring partnership between Aston Martin and the famous Italian design house Zegato: who’ve shared an illustrious history dating back to the creation of the DB4GT Zegato in 1960. The relationship is synonymous with the most beautiful automotive art and bespoke design, which over the years has developed the ultra-exclusive Zegato range.

Performance

All Vanquish Zagatos are based on the underpinnings of the recent Aston Martin Vanquish S. Including increased spring rates, retuned dampers and revised hydraulic steering. The performance is said to echo the DB7 Zagato, V8 Zagato Coupe and Volante, however for this special model things have simply been taken a few steps further.

Design

Contrary to its elongated shape, the Zegato Shooting Brake is a two-seater, creating a practical, rear-wheel-drive, luxury GT. Powered by an explosive 6.0-litre V12 packing 592hp, the same engine used in the new Zagato speedster. As an estate model the Zagato Shooting Brake features a sculpted roof that opens into a luxuriously trimmed rear cabin area, complete with tailored luggage set. The extended roofline carries the trademark Zagato ‘double bubble’ design, forming streamlined cowls with glass inlays to let light flood into the cabin. The panels themselves are made completely out of carbon fibre, finished with Aston Martin Vulcan-inspired ‘blade’ tail lights and repeated 3D Zagato motifs throughout.
