Extend your range
Smart ideas - like recuperating energy when
braking to increase range - are built-in to your electric Audi. By recovering kinetic energy from the wheel axles and converting it to an electric charge, you can help to recharge the battery.
Different Drive, Different Range
Your electric Audis can recuperate up to 30%
more energy through coasting or braking, which extends its range. Recuperation is more effective when driving in cities due to more breaking opportunities and lower air resistance.
Understanding your estimated range
Lots of things can affect the range of an electric battery, including driving style, outside temperature and systems like air conditioning. If your electric Audi is displaying full battery, but your range is not as expected, this is normal.
Smart batteries for smooth journeys
Audi has extensive expertise in high voltage battery technology. Audi batteries use lithium - ion technology, which are widely known to be the most advanced and reliable battery for daily use in electric cars.
There are so many benefits to owning an electric Audi.
Here are just some of them:
The electric revolution has arrived. Here is what you should know:
Easier than you think!
The average car spends about 80%* of the time parked at home.
During this time your electric vehicle could be charging.
Charging that has you covered
95% of car journeys in the UK are less than 25 miles^ so most of your
journeys could be covered by charging at home with a home wall box.
A growing network
For longer journeys, there are now thousands of public charging stations
across the UK with new ones being added every day.
With electricity currently around two-thirds cheaper** than petrol or diesel,
it could cost less than you think to top up your electric Audi.
How do I charge my Electric Car at home?
A wall box is the best way to charge your electric Audi at home. ‘Pod Point’ are Audi’s recommended and trusted home wall box supplier and one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging.
Why install a home wall box?
Watch below (on the left) to see our very own Natasha Freed review the Audi e-tron. Here she gives her thoughts on going electric and what it's like to drive an fully electric vehicle!
On the right is a video that promotes the new EV&me app. This EV&me app helps customers understand if they would be better off going electric. It is designed to help customers overcome barriers to making the switch from an internal combustion engine (petrol or diesel-powered car) to an electric car, such as range anxiety and charging.

1Switch your duel fuel home energy supply to Octopus Energy, or if you already have a dual fuel supply with Octopus Energy, you’ll be eligible for a £90 credit to your energy bill. This could be worth up to 5,000 miles of free driving. The credit shall be applied once the account is on supply and the first direct debit payment has been taken. If you qualify for more than one marketing incentive, Octopus reserves the right to give you just one incentive. To benefit from the Octopus Go tariff, the customer must have an SMETS2 smart meter or a SecureTM branded SMETS1 meter that they have agreed to let Octopus receive half-hourly consumption data from. There are some instances where a smart meter installation is not possible, for example remote areas with a poor mobile signal. Where smart meter installation is not possible, customers can sign up to an Octopus standard tariff and receive £45 credit per fuel type. Customers who purchase an electric vehicle should contact Octopus Energy directly on email@example.com/ to request a switch and/or add credit to their account. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time. Existing customers must not have claimed other Octopus incentives to be eligible. ††Plug-in hybrids (less than 51/km of CO2) are currently exempt from paying first year VED. Plug-in hybrids pay a reduced rate for subsequent years. (Correct as of the in the 21/22 tax year).
** According to UK Power, the average electricity cost is currently (January 2020) 14.37p/kWh
Official consumption (combined) for the Audi e-tron range is between 17.1 kWh/100 km and 27.8 kWh/100km. All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare equivalent electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge of the battery). Figures for battery electric vehicles were obtained after the battery had been fully charged. Battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. Zero emissions while driving. Figures quoted are subject to change due to ongoing approvals/changes and range figures may include options not available in the UK.
