A winning start to the season with Audi

FC Bayern München have kicked off the new football season with even more sporty style, as they welcomed the delivery of their new company cars at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt. Over half the team, including new signing Mats Hummels, opted for a sleek and sporty RS model, the clear choice for a team that is dedicated to stunningly high performance both on and off the pitch.

The players and coaches all received their new cars from Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler, and the event was a definite highlight as the squad of Manuel Neuer, Jérôme Boateng and Franck Ribéry prepared for the new Bundesliga season, which kicked off on the 26th August. It was certainly a highlight for fans too, as they had opportunities to meet their favourite players up close and get autographs.

The football club has had a long partnership with Audi, beginning in 2002, and they have now started their 15th season together. The highlights of the partnership are numerous, and include the Audi Cup, held every two years in the Allianz Arena, and the Audi Summer Tour abroad. The brand also accompanied Bayern’s training camp to the USA where the team met with other star teams AC Milan, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

Players Holger Badstuber, Xabi Alonso and Thiago Alcántara, along with 12 others, chose sporty RS 6 and RS 7 models. A new signing, Renato Sanches, decided on the perfectly urban A3 Sportback while the coach, Carlo Ancelotti, received his Audi S8 plus in July.
