Audi and Airbnb team up for a desert dream
Adding to the list of incredible and glamourous locations that Audi love to visit in the name of advertising comes their latest advert, titled ‘Desolation’.
Audi teamed up with Airbnb to offer a decadently beautiful getaway in the remote Death Valley, Nevada. Not only could you stay in the luxury Rondolino residence with your very own personal chef and chauffeur service from the airport, you also got to drive a 2017 Audi R8 during your stay.
Using their signature light touch of humour, the advert shows a family waking up on a lazy desert morning. The dad jumps into his R8, speeding away to a remote shack on a coffee run, only to realise he has forgotten his wallet. Before all hope is lost, there to save the day is his wife, who turns up in her own R8, throwing him the wallet before speeding away and rolling her eyes.
The three-day, two-night stay was described as packed with activities such as curated stargazing, along with a full day of driving the Audi R8 V10 Plus with an instructor. And to top it all off, an Audi Q7 is provided for your everyday needs during the stay. If you don’t fancy heading all the way to the desert though, why not take a look at both of these luxurious Audis and more at Jardine Motors Audi?
Audi America’s Vice President of marketing, Loren Angelo, said: ‘We came across the Death Valley home on Airbnb, and immediately knew this would be the place for this car to call home, away from traffic lights, speed limits and congestion that might slow you down.’
Sadly, all available weekends for the trip have been booked up, but we can still hope that the amazing house will continue to be offered on Airbnb even without the speed machine to go with it.
