Audi RS Q3 Performance unveiled in Geneva

The Audi RS Q3 already boasts impressive credentials, but the newly unveiled RS Q3 Performance pushes the Bavarian brand’s crossover creation to its limits.

Making its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show this month, the RS Q3 Performance offers an injection of power - 27bhp to be precise - into the 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, taking the Performance model to 362bhp.

The top speed is increased too, with the electronic limiter removed to take the RS Q3 Performance from 155mph to 167mph – and it doesn’t take long to get there, with the new variant able to accelerate from 0 – 62mph in just 4.4 seconds, trimming four-tenths from the regular model’s time. Increased output doesn’t mean decreased economy, with the RS Q3 Performance retaining its 32.8mpg.

Aside from engine alterations, the RS Q3 Performance is mechanically unchanged from the regular model, using the same seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro four-wheel drive system. If you want to spot the difference, the Performance variant is available with striking Ascari blue metallic paint and matt titanium finish trim.
