Forget cosy log cabins, stone chimneys and picket fences; the resort of Flaine in the Alps presents a much starker outline on the mountain than traditional skiers are used to. Le Totem hotel has been renovated with no expense spared, bringing Bauhaus back into the spotlight with mid-century furnishings and Navajo Indian-inspired fabrics.
