The all-new Audi Q5

The Paris Motor Show held plenty of new surprises and exciting updates, but the star of the show was certainly the all-new Audi Q5. Smoother and more muscular than the current Q5, striking visual dynamics give the new generation model a heightened presence, even in stillness.

The revamped SUV offers even more space, thanks to a longer wheelbase, and the use of lighter materials add agility and excitement to the driving dynamics. Careful sculpting and design have made the Q5 one of the most aerodynamic cars in its class, and promises remarkably low wind noise and next-to-no vibrations in the cabin.

A more rugged appearance emphasises the incredible off-roading ability of the Q5, with touches of high-tech style such as a choice if LED or high-resolution Matrix LED headlamps and Audi’s dynamic turn signals. There will be a wealth of technology waiting inside the cabin too, from Audi’s 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit display to an innovative new head-up display, capable of projecting relevant information directly onto the windscreen of the car.

A range of four-cylinder and V6 petrol and diesel engines will be offered to allow a truly tailor-made performance, the V6 options being part of a new generation of engines developed jointly with Audi and Porsche. A plug-in hybrid version of the all-new Q5 is planned, fulfilling the rising demand for hybrid SUVs. A total of five engine options will be available at the launch, ranging in power from 148bhp to a hair-raising 282bhp.
