Andy Murray is Jaguar’s most recent UK tennis ambassador, and the automotive marque has honoured the British Wimbledon winner’s 2016 success with a Jaguar F-PACE. But it’s not just any F-PACE – it features a bespoke logo that marks the vehicle as the ‘Official Car of the Champion’.
The 2016 Wimbledon Champion defeated Milos Raonic in straight sets to take his second home-turf title. This was a momentous occasion for Murray and British tennis. And such success deserved recognition, which Coventry-based Jaguar gave. They offered their congratulations in the form of a unique new logo and a luxury chauffeur-driven journey in Murray’s personalised F-PACE on 12th July, back to the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
You can revisit SW19’s iconic Centre Court in the shoes of a champion, with the virtual reality #FeelWimbledon campaign, which featured Murray as its face for 2016. A fleet of luxury chauffeur cars were provided by Jaguar to support tournament operations throughout the Wimbledon championships – and an F-PACE can even be spotted on the #FeelWimbledon video.
Jaguar Land Rover marketing director, Scott Dicken, said: ‘It is an absolute honour to be partnered with such a British icon and celebrate this historic win with him. We congratulate Andy on a fantastic performance throughout the championships and we hope he looks forward to driving the F-PACE for himself.’
