Much has been made of Jaguar Land Rover’s Ingenium engine, which was built to maximise performance and environmental suitability while bringing down driving costs. Now, the range has grown with the new 200PS and 250PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and 240PS diesel engines, which deliver improved efficiency and enhanced vehicle dynamics.
The improved Jaguar XE and XF deliver greater scope for customers to personalise the driving experience thanks to Configurable Dynamics being offered as a standalone feature. The system allows drivers to set up the vehicle to suit their own personal preference by choosing either Normal or Dynamic settings for the engine, gearbox and steering.
Both the XE and XF have never been safer, thanks to the addition of a range of intelligent safety features which join the already extensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Forward Traffic Detection detects items crossing the path of the vehicle, while Forward Vehicle Guidance provides a visual representation of the vehicle overlaid with wheel projections.
Dual View technology has been introduced to both models for the first time, allowing the driver and front passenger to view different infotainment displays using the central touchscreen display. Plus, the addition of a new Gesture Boot Lid function allows owners to open and close the boot by waving a foot under the rear bumper, making loading and unloading even more convenient.
