Seat The choice of interior materials includes a canvas-inspired Robust Woven Textile, which is offered with grained leather seats to combine style with functionality. Top of the range Defender X features Windsor leather seats with Steelcut Premium textile accents.
Materials The Defender is designed for explorers and adventurers, so everything has a functional purpose. From the interior’s durable rubber flooring, to the optional Satin Protective Film, materials are designed to take the rough with the smooth.
Testing The new Defender went through more than 62,000 tests for engineering sign-off. The chassis and body architecture are engineered to withstand Land Rover’s Extreme Event Test procedure, a gruelling series of tests far in excess of normal SUV and car requirements.
Exterior Land Rover offers the option of a Satin Protective Film that protects the paint from scratches and looks great both in town and country.

Tyres Defender’s specially developed tyres are robust with deep sidewalls to endure the roughest terrain. With an outside rolling diameter of 815mm the tyres absorb shock, protecting the integrity of the chassis and increasing passenger comfort. Monocoque Architecture The D7x architecture is based on a lightweight aluminium monocoque construction to create the stiffest body structure Land Rover has ever produced.

'A' Frame Protection Bar The optional ‘A’ Frame bar protects the front of Defender when venturing off road and enhances its rugged looks too.
Strength in Depth With a maximum payload of up to 900kg, static roof load of up to 300kg, towing capacity of 3,500kg and wading depth of up to 900mm, new Defender is engineered for overland adventures.
