DesignIt’s not too much of a stretch to describe the Evoque as a design icon. The coupé-like profile, floating roof, flush door handles, wheel-at-each corner stance – they all convey the Range Rover design DNA in a compact and city-friendly package. For the 2024 Model Year, Evoque gets the latest Range Rover family grille, flanked by super-slim Pixel LED headlights whose Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) have a technical, jewel-like effect. Inside, the fascia has been redesigned to be even more minimalist, with infotainment based upon a slim, floating curved glass interface. Kvadrat three-wool blend fabric is offered as an alternative to leather upholstery, and there are some new paint finishes plus contrast roofs to extend the palette of choice.
PerformanceThe new Evoque is available with a choice of Ingenium Mild Hybrid (MHEV) powertrains, starting with the diesel D165 (163HP, 9.2s 0-60mph) and progressing through the D200 (204HP, 0-60 in 7.2s) to the petrol P250 (249HP, 7.0s). But the jewel in the crown is the Plug-in Hybrid P300e, which offers an all-electric range of up to 39 miles, making it easy to complete commutes and local journeys in all-electric mode. The 0-60mph benchmark takes just 6.1 seconds, and with CO2 emissions of 32g/km it also offers company users the advantage of an attractive BIK rate.
TechnologyThe new Evoque’s 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen runs the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. Amazon’s Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built-in, and virtual buttons provide immediate access to frequently used items, including individual temperature controls for the front occupants, cameras, navigation and audio. Regular over the air software updates keep it all up to date. Wireless smartphone charging is standard, while the optional Cabin Air Purification Plus features PM2.5 Filtration and CO2 Management for occupant wellbeing and driver alertness.
SafetyDynamic Stability Control (DSC), Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Traction Control (ETC) and Roll Stability Control (RSC) driver assistance software are all standard. Also standard is Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2, which allows you to adjust vehicle settings to suit the driving environment, with a choice of Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic and Automatic mode. Each alters the calibration of the engine, transmission, all-wheel drive system, suspension and stability control systems for optimum traction and control.
