The 24th James Bond film is set to be released in around a month, and two of the stars vying for the limelight alongside Daniel Craig are the Range Rover Sport SVR and the Defender.
The SVR packs one heck of a powerful punch, in fact, it’s the fastest and most powerful Land Rover ever made; the 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 petrol engine has a whopping 550hp and 680Nm of torque, and the state-of-the-art eight-speed transmission takes it from 0-60mph in a mere 4.5 seconds.
Specially provided by Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, the Defender features impressive 37-inch diameter off-road tyres, bespoke suspension and enhanced aluminium body protection. Built to conquer the most extreme terrains imaginable, it’s sure to help Bond out of some sticky situations!
The Range Rover SVR and Defender are just the latest in a long line of Jaguar Land Rover cars to be featured in 007’s escapades. In 2012’s Skyfall, the Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up was driven in the opening sequence by Miss Moneypenny.
The Jaguar C-X75 also appears in Spectre, as Bond is drawn into an exciting chase scene through Rome.
