The Land Rover Reborn Tour has launched

Since Defender production stopped earlier this year, you may have been wondering what’s been happening at Land Rover’s Solihull plant. Well, all has now been revealed, as the Land Rover Reborn Tour has launched, where brand enthusiasts can take a trip around the classic car restoration workshop.

The three-hour tour costs from £29 per person, and provides an insight into Land Rover’s history in Solihull, the design and production of the original Land Rover in the 1940s, plus visitors will get to learn about and view 1940s manufacturing techniques. Many of these methods were continued throughout the duration of Defender production.

Solihull is also home to the Series I Reborn project, which sees original Land Rovers restored to as-new condition. In the very factory where Land Rover Series vehicles and Defenders were originally produced, see classic Land Rovers being restored to a reborn state, emerging as good as new.

Series I chassis are hand-picked from the brand’s global network to undergo a complete restoration according to the original 1948 factory specification, using genuine Land Rover parts to preserve full authenticity. Select your period finish from five colours, including Light Green, Bronze Green, RAF Blue, Dove Grey and Poppy Red. Decades-worth of experience from the programme’s experts goes into creating these magnificent Land Rover examples.

Restored examples are available for purchase, starting with selecting your preferred base vehicle with the assistance of Land Rover Classic’s experienced restoration team – you then get to enjoy the experience of following your Series I’s restoration from start to finish at the Land Rover Classic Workshop in Solihull. Each classic comes with a 12-month warranty and a lifetime of history.

There is also the opportunity to follow your workshop tour with an off-road driving experience, so you can feel the capabilities of the Land Rover Defender for yourself.
