Lexus supercharge the LC 500 to create incredible GT racer

The Lexus LC 500 won’t just be hitting the roads next year, it’ll also be hitting the tracks. The LC 500 will become the focus of Lexus’ racing efforts in Japan as the marque continues promoting the new model in their home market.

Super GT involves a unique mix of production models infused with technology from a futuristic animé series, along with heart-pounding, thrilling racing action. The LC 500 will be up against stiff competition in the form of the Nissan GT-R and the Honda NSX, but by the look of the car, Lexus have nothing to worry about.

The extravagant styling of the Super GT LC 500 creates an incredibly dynamic and forceful look, one that doesn’t even look out of place in the smooth lines and cutting-edge aerodynamics. The holographic livery adds an extroverted playfulness to the car, as well as tying it to the RC F, from which the graphics are borrowed.

Extensive modifications have also been made under the bonnet, due to regulations that all cars in the GT500 class use a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine rather than the road-going 5.0-litre V8 engine. The stunning car will no doubt be an incredible sight both on and off the track, and if you can’t wait to lay your eyes on it, why not take a look here at Lancaster today?
