Combining sleek design with performance-optimised technology and with a nod to the iconic F1 GTR ‘Longtail’, the 600LT is setting the benchmark for British sports cars. Extreme in nature, but entirely road legal, McLaren have combined class, comfort and championship spirit in this slick addition to the range. Hitting the open road never looked so exciting.
Fusing McLaren legacy with the latest engineering technology, the refined 600LT design has shed 96kg off its 570S Coupé predecessor. It also maintains the familiar lightweight braking system and forged aluminium double wishbone suspension first seen on the 720S model, so you can expect thrills left, right and centre. Stretching 74mm longer than previous vehicles in the range, its sharp front is instantly attractive, with the extended rear spoiler finished off with a lavish ceramic, heat-resistant finish. This is a supercar with personality.
With high performance at its core, the 600LT has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine packed with power. Its 592bhp output is a 30bhp improvement on the 570S, with a maximum 457lb ft of torque. Aerodynamic carbon-fibre bodywork caresses the chassis, with reduced back pressure and high-mounted, vertical exhausts over the heat-resistant, fixed wing. It’s this improved downforce that makes the 600LT such a track-focused joy to drive.
Applying innovative racing technology to a comprehensive, well-handling car for the everyday user, the 600LT comes equipped with select driver modes to adjust to its environment and ensure top performance wherever you decide to take it. Lust-worthy P1 Pirelli Trofeo R tyres are an optional upgrade, along with McLaren Senna ultra-lightweight racing seats for the ultimate track driving experience.
The 600LT model won’t be around forever, so catch it if you can.
The absolute remit is to engage and excite drivers to the highest levels imaginable. To this end, the 600LT features quicker steering, significantly firmer engine mounts, track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres and the lightweight suspension and braking system from the McLaren 720S.
A McLaren LT is characterised by its increased power, reduced weight, optimised aerodynamics, track-focused dynamics and absolute driver engagement. These traits were defined by the first McLaren to bear the iconic name. One of the purest race cars in modern motorsport history – the McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’.
The renowned McLaren 675LT was the first ‘Longtail’ of the modern era, and the purest distillation of what we stand for. Stripping away every obstacle to performance and delivering raw thrills, it marks the beginning of a new chapter in our LT story.
