DesignEvery aspect of its design immediately identifies the 765LT Spider as a supercar that will deliver on its promise of pure driving thrills. It only takes 11 seconds to open up the electric hard top, which you can adjust on the move at speeds of up to 31mph. For when you want to be fully immersed in the action, simply stow the roof and allow the elements to enrich your driving experience.
The 765LT Spider is 80kg lighter than the 720S and has 25% more downforce thanks to its carbon fibre body panels and front floor. Its elongated silhouette and lowered stance also work to improve aerodynamics and reduce stopping time from astonishingly fast top speeds. The aggressive LT front splitter, side skirts and air intakes (inspired by the 675LT Spider) manage the air flow and cooling. Inside, the track-ready racing seats are inspired by those in the McLaren P1 and Alcantara features throughout the cabin.
Performance & TechnologyThe 765LT Spider is powered by McLaren’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, making it the most powerful McLaren LT Spider to date. It takes several components from the McLaren Senna, including its fuel pump, lightweight aluminium pistons, oil pump, new shaft, and three-layer head gasket.
This enables the 765LT Spider to reach 62mph in just 2.8 seconds and 124mph in a mere 7.2 seconds – that’s faster than the 720S. Behind this acceleration is 755bhp and 800Nm of torque, reaching an astonishingly fast top speed of 205mph. A seven-speed Seamless Shift gearbox delivers power to the rear wheels and the electro-hydraulic steering guarantees a sharp response. The pure adrenaline you receive from the 765LT is unrivalled, compelling and addictive.
FeaturesEverything in the 765LT Spider is geared towards weight saving and performance enhancing. The lowered front suspension increases driver engagement whilst the ability to open the roof means you can soak up every decibel of the howling LT-specific quad-exit titanium exhaust. The lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres for maximum performance.
SafetyLike all McLarens, the 765LT Spider features a solid carbon fibre monocoque that acts as the backbone to the car. Based on the technology first seen in the McLaren P1, the Monocage II provides a strong, stiff and safe passenger cell. Combined with increased visibility and a suite of safety systems that are designed to embrace traction and grip, McLaren prides itself on exceptional protection for you and your passenger.
