Both on the outside and inside the C 63 S has noticeable AMG styling, from the radiator grille to the new-generation steering wheel available in a range of finishes, including nappa leather, carbon fibre, microfibre and black piano lacquer. The C 63 S sits on 19” alloy wheels as standard and, if you fancy an upgrade, you can give things like the side sill panels and lower rear a carbon fibre finish. For an even sportier appearance, you can opt for the Aerodynamics package which includes the likes of a more expressive front splitter and broader, side skirt inserts all finished in gloss black. Moving inside, Mercedes-Benz stays true to its premium interior finish with a mix of nappa leather, brushed metal and gloss-black surfaces. The optional performance seats offer more support and confidence during ‘playful’ driving, emphasising the sportscar nature.
TECHNOLOGY
The C 63 S jam-packed with high tech features. It comes with the brand’s top-level COMAND Online infotainment system and sat-nav with a 10.3” screen as standard. You can opt for an additional digital 12.3” driver display that allows you to choose from three display styles: Classic, Sporty or Supersport. There’s also the optional Energizing Comfort Control technology to enhance wellbeing, allowing for specific wellness setups by adjusting the climate control, seats, lighting and music tailored to your needs and mood. Finally, AMG Track Pace is available to help improve your performance if you decide to take your C 63 S for a spin on the track.
SAFETY
Standard safety features include all-round parking sensors, rear-view camera, cruise control, automatic emergency braking and (depending on which model you go for) a 360-degree camera. Adaptive LED headlights are also standard which allow for maximum brightness at all times without dazzling oncoming traffic. There’s also the Driving Assistance package which includes the likes of adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and Active Lane Assist.
FEATURES
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S is a whole lot of fun to drive, regardless of the model you choose. At the heart of it, is the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine with an output of 503bhp and 700Nm of torque. Depending on if you go for the saloon, estate, coupé or convertible, the C 63 S can make the 0 – 62mph sprint in as little as 3.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of up to 180mph. It’s rear-wheel drive and uses a nine-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and agile response. Depending on your journey, there’s a range of driving modes to choose from including Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus+. With the C 63 S there’s also a few motorsports-inspired features that help to enhance its already impressive performance and handling. AMG Dynamics increases agility by measuring the torque distribution to the rear axle and optimises traction when cornering. AMG Traction Control also allows for tighter handling and adjusting of the slip on the rear axles – great for different driving conditions.
