To continue our fundraising throughout 2015 Jardine Mercedes-Benz has taken on an immense restoration project for Whizz-Kidz. We have purchased a 1980s Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC Coupe, which will be restored to its original beauty by going through our workshops and bodyshop.
Following on from the success of Cambridge Porshe's exceptional auction results for their restoration project in 2014 we as Jardine Motors Group will be restoring a Magnificent Seven heritage cars to celebrate Whizz-Kidz 25th Anniversary.
It has only covered 75,518 miles in its 30+ years and still has a stunning blue leather finish and a silver exterior (although it needs a lot of TLC!). It will be restored to its original beauty and then will be sold as part of an auction later in the year, where we plan on making a £5000 minimum donation to Whizz-Kidz.

Update 1 - 25/05/15
Well, we’ve started stripping down our 500 SEC in preparation for the big body repairs and respray, which will be taking place at our Witham Body Repair Centre.

Update 2 - 11/06/15
Well, our baby has arrived at Witham and is awaiting prep for the body repairs and full paint job. We'll be posting up pics of the stripped car very soon ( - the car is looking rather....bare-boned at the moment).
Update 3 - 25/06/15
So here we are. Over a month and a half into our 500 SEC’s little adventure and our teams have been super-busy preparing the car for essential body works – in fact the car is currently unrecognisable… but as ever, really fascinating!
Update 4 - 15/07/15
Things are still moving at our Witham Body Repair Centre...albeit slower than we anticipated - Less because of any real difficulties with our SEC 500 but more because out workshops are maxed out at the moment with booming Summer trade!
