The Affalterbach based AMG, the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz, have added the AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé to its C-Class range of compact executive cars.
AMG pride themselves on the highly dynamic driving experience that is the benchmark of all their models, and the C43 4MATIC Coupé is no exception with a 270 kW (367 hp) 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine, coupled with the new 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission for slick and supple gear changes.
Furthermore, with the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the model-specific chassis technology, the new C43 4MATIC Coupé truly lives up to the brand promise of 'Driving Performance'.
The new model can reach a top speed 155mph and will achieve 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé is characteristically sporty in appearance – a look synonymous with AMG models. The exterior features include the characteristic AMG styling in addition to specific light-alloy wheels.
The exterior has also been given the AMG treatment with elements such as sporty distinctive air intakes, diamond meshes, silver chrome trim, along with a rear apron with matt iridium silver diffuser insert.
The C43 4MATIC Coupé comes on AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels in high-gloss black paint. Its 225/45 R 18 tyres on 7.5 x 18 light-alloy wheels are fitted at the front, while the rear axle comes with 245/40 R 18 tyres on 8.5 x 18 wheels.
19” light-alloy wheels in various designs are available as an optional extra for further personalisation.
The interior of C43 4MATIC Coupé is meticulously designed to fully embody the feel of high-performance sports car, most notably with ARTICO man-made leather / DINAMICA microfibre upholstery and the instrument panel which is trimmed with ARTICO.
The steering wheel is made for a committed driving style that accentuates the sports car driving experience. Made in black leather, it comprises of a flattened bottom section and red contrasting topstitching, to slot perfectly in the hands.
The seating follows suit with improved lateral support to allow drivers to find a completely secure position even whilst driving at high speeds. The man-made leather featured on the seating is consistent with that used throughout the rest of the interior. Again, red contrasting topstitching, adds further attraction and a definitive sporty aesthetic.
On the launch of the new C-Class addition, Mercedes-AMG GmbH chairman Tobias Moers was quoted as saying:
"The extension of the C-Class family to include the new C43 4MATIC Coupé is another component in our growth strategy. It not only enriches the wide line-up of the C-Class family, but also starts the introduction of a whole series of new ‘43’ models this year. The ‘43’ models boast the characteristic AMG genes, which are also included in our GT and ‘63’ vehicles, and thus consistently interpret our brand essence of 'Driving Performance' in their segment."
The Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé will be available to buy from early April.
