Safety

In the event of an accident, the C63 AMG provides excellent all-round protection with dual-stage front, side and window-mounted airbags. A wide assortment of active safety measures are also there to enhance stability, including adaptive ABS brakes, an Electronic Stability Programme, and the Collision Prevent Assist Plus system, which can play a key role in preventing rear-end shunts during city driving.The Driving Assistance package, furthermore, offers you such features as Blind Sport Assist, Distronic Plus (which helps drivers to always maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front), Lane Keeping Assist, and the Pre-Safe® anticipatory safety system, which readies the seatbelts and seating positions for a collision when one seems imminent.

Design

The muscular character lines cut into the bonnet and side panels of the C63 AMG give the impression of permanent motion even when the car is stationary, and emphasises the fierce presence engendered by the wide honeycomb grille and sharp-angled headlights with LED daytime running lights. 

The effect is completed by 18” or 19” alloy wheels, tinted glass, and quad exhausts. The interior is similarly breathtaking, being built to the highest standards to provide sumptuous comfort and a great deal of space along with a suitably sporting ambience. 

Gloss-black finishes, high-quality aluminium trim and black Nappa leather upholstery complement an imposing dashboard with numerous (yet clear and simple) dials and instruments to control the wealth of driver-convenience technology available.

The sublimely comfortable leather seats are electrically adjustable in any plane, whilst the bolstering at the sides provide excellent support on track days as well as adding (like the large, flat-bottomed steering wheel) to the vibrant feel of the car.​

Technology

The V8 unit of the standard C63 AMG boasts an enormous power output of 476hp, a figure that increases to 510hp in the case of the even more powerful engine of the “S” model.

It is, however, the extraordinary amount of torque available that really makes this model such an incredible performer on the road. 650Nm between 1750-4500rpm (700Nm, in the case of the “S” version) thrusts the C63 AMG from 0-60mph in four seconds, and to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. 

The seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic sports transmission, meanwhile, guarantees uninterrupted power delivery every time you accelerate.

Standard features in the vehicle’s cabin include automatic dual-zone climate control, Active Parking Assist with a reversing camera, ambient lighting, and the sophisticated and multi-faceted COMAND Online infotainment system.
