Mini Countryman

The new MINI Countryman launched on 11th February 2017, and is a must see if you have an insatiable desire for adventure!

The spacious new model is now 20cm longer, allowing an extra 5cm legroom for rear seat passengers. The MINI Countryman is a Sport Activity Vehicle that's more comfortable than ever - no matter how rugged the terrain.

The new MINI Countryman is available in 10 colours, including 2 new colours - Island Blue and Chestnut, and 5 ALL4 models - Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S, Cooper SD and Cooper S E (MINI's first plug-in hybrid).

Safety is built into every part of the MINI Countryman. Intelligent sensors take the guesswork out of tricky driving situations, while an array of design features protect you in the event of a collision.

Advanced braking technology keeps you in complete control. Latest-generation anti-lock brakes allow you to stop quickly on slippery roads and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) distributes braking force between wheels to suit the driving conditions. Cornering Brake Control (CBC) improves stability on cornering at speed, and Brake Assist speeds up the process, minimising the braking distance.

The MINI Countryman also has six airbags as standard. Driver and passenger airbags protect from danger straight ahead, while side and head airbags reduce the risk of injuries from the left or the right. It’s got your back (your front and sides).

Longer than the standard model, the Countryman is the MINI's biggest vehicle ever. It is also the first to feature four side doors. Recalling the original Countryman, the vent surrounds follow the A-pillar line down to the wheel arch for a retro touch. Headlight detailing is a particularly head-turning feature of the Countryman, with an intricate construction that looks as good during the day as illuminated in the dark. As extroverted as its exterior design, the interior of the Countryman is reassuringly bold. MINI's top styling is evident in the switchgear layout, with controls for the windows, locking and air conditioning practically positioned. With plenty of space for front and rear passengers, including taller passengers in the back seats, the Countryman is comfortable and spacious. The space continues in the boot, with 350 litres increasing to 1,170 litres with the back seats down.

Propelled by the 110bhp 1.6 litre diesel, the Cooper D offers ideal everyday performance with an impressive 0-60mph time of 11.1 seconds. Also available are the 1.6-litre petrol and the 1.6T Cooper S, which brings real power and agility to the Countryman.

Following MINI’s compact SUV crossover design, the Countryman offers great handling. First up is the dynamic steering ratio, providing a turning circle of just 11.6 metres with 2.4 turns of the wheel – this lets you navigate with ease around winding roads and gives you the ability to quickly avoid obstacles. The option for 4x4 is great for adding another dimension to your Countryman, enabling you to tackle off-road and tougher terrain with surprising dexterity.
