Whizz-Kidz Summer Variety Ball
It is our honour to announce that the 2016 Whizz-Kidz Variety Ball was a huge success and the Jardine Motors Group was pleased and proud to be involved. This year’s event took place on Saturday 17th September at Molineux Stadium, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, and it was bigger and better than ever before.
Now in its third year, the Variety Ball takes place to support Whizz-Kidz, a charity that works hard to transform disabled children’s lives, positively supporting them as they grow up into assertive and independent young people.
In 2014, the event raised £7,077.64. In 2015, we raised £9,520.08. And in 2016, we are delighted to reveal that the amount raised was a fantastic £10,026.47. This means that in three short years, the Whizz-Kidz Summer Variety Ball has raised a grand total of £26,642.19!
Helen Hammond, Divisional PA to Andy Davies, Audi and TPS Brand Director, said: ‘Following Saturday’s Whizz-Kidz event, we are delighted and completely overwhelmed by the amount of money raised on Saturday evening, the generosity and support from everybody was amazing.’
2016’s event - arranged by Helen and Louise Botwood, PA at Halesowen Audi - saw around 300 guests in attendance, so thank you to every single person that dressed up and came to Molineux for this fantastic occasion. With a live band, singing waiters and a live auction, the night was exciting from start to finish, especially with plenty of dancing and a drink or two thrown into the mix.
The Jardine Motors Group would like to express their sincere gratitude to: Wolverhampton and Halesowen Audi, AC Blooms, Express and Star, Joseph Whelan, Individual Specialist Cars, Penny Hydraulics, Stedek Windows and Doors, Vehicle Connections – all of these companies have selflessly supported the event for the last three years.
Looking ahead to 2017, we are pleased to announce that next year’s event will be held on Saturday 24th June – details will follow in due course but needless to say, next year’s event will be very different, so watch this space…
