As beautiful as the first-generation Boxster introduced in late 1996 with all the extra trimmings, the Boxster GTS is the epitome of performance, aggression and poise. Reviving the classic 718 moniker whilst switching engines to the flat-four turbocharged unit ensures this model has a classic feel with all the technological and performance enhancing equipment to assert the stability and dominance of the Boxster GTS.
Opting for the Boxster GTS brings a number of additional features and equipment all as standard. This includes the Sport Chrono package, to take performance to the next level with a touch of a button, Porsche Torque Vectoring with rear limited slip differential, that results in a precise and sporty steering action for those windy roads, and the Porsche Active Suspension management, which lowers the ride by 10mm bringing car and road that much closer together.
All the aggression you could want and the power to handle the extra performance, all within a beautifully packaged Boxster GTS. Arriving with the Porsche Torque Vectoring as standard the Porsche Boxster GTS has increased dynamics and stability. The turbocharged 2.5-litre flat-four boosts to 365bhp, a 15bhp rise over the 718 S and 35bhp more than the previous Boxster GTS.
With an incremental flinch of the right foot power is surged to the rear wheels through either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the elective seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The Mid-engine provides balance to the Boxster GTS ensuring effective control that allows you to adjust the attitude of the car to your temperament.
Boasting a top speed 180 mph the Boxster GTS makes the 0-62mph bolt in just 4.6 seconds, thanks to the new air intake system and an adjusted turbocharger.
Visually stunning and naturally aggressive the Porsche Boxster GTS radiates dominance and grace in every line. With a sharp-nose and slick black inlays the Boxster means business. The wings are embellished with the black GTS logo, large air-intakes and sharp contours that make the Boxster GTS unmistakeably more aggressive. Porsche has increased the mystique of the Boxster GTS with the added visual flair of black tinted taillights and satin black finished wheels fitted as standard.
The interior has been decorated with the suede like material Alacantra on the seats, centre console, armrests and steering column, to perfectly hold you in your seat, and give you additional grip for your steering wheel.
Porsche has a reputation for safety quality and the Boxster GTS does not falter in this regard. This model comes well equipped with hardware and software designed to prevent an accident from occurring as well as the equipment to ensure its occupants are well protected in the event of a crash.
The new top-of-the-line Boxster GTS model also receives a Porsche Track Precision App, which enables the driver to display, record and analyse data all on a smartphone. Within the cockpit you can enhance your Boxster GTS with the elective Navigation Module and Connect plus package providing you the tools to make everyday tasks quick and effortless.
