The latest, third-generation Porsche Cayenne sits at the top of the brand’s SUV line up. Boasting dynamic design, fascinating features with a diverse and comfortable driving experience. The iconic Porsche styling remains on the exterior, however underneath there’s an overhaul of VW engineering married with state-of-the-art Porsche-specific technology.
To manage the
weight and power of the Cayenne, newly-developed Porsche Surface Coated Brakes
(PSCD) comprised of iron discs with tungsten carbide coating, improve power and
reduce wear.
The new
Porsche Cayenne comes with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, packing 340hp, it’s
capable of sprinting the two-tonne SUV from 0-62 in 6.2 secs, reaching a top
speed of 152 mph. The Cayenne S model boasts 100 more horses, at 440hp it will
jump from 0-62 in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 164 mph. All models are able
to pull a max trailer load of 3,500kg, which is enough for pretty much any
leisure boat or caravan.
Mixed wheel widths inspired by the Porsche 911 improve handling and 4D Chassis Control suspension with rear axle steering improves manoeuvrability at slower speeds. Porsche offers five driving modes, four of which are for off-road use; mud, gravel, sand and rocks. The Porsche Traction Management and fully-active all-wheel drive system ensures the new Cayenne can comfortably handle itself off the tarmac.
The new
Cayenne is packed with Porsche-specific technology. The exceptional new digital
network brings the whole world into the cockpit. The centre console takes features
from the Porsche Panamera: haptic switches and general smartphone-like
sophistication delivers a new-age user experience.
Accompanied by cutting-edge driver assistance systems, the 12.3” HD touchscreen display contains the all-new PCM infotainment system. Quality and versatility are clearly present throughout the new top-of-the-range model, delivering an immersive and satisfying driving experience.
